It was a pleasure to be able to commemorate together with the mothers in the dzaleka camps this International Women's Day (March 8) which is a symbolic global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action to accelerate women's equality. The IWD has existed for over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. JIF is not country, group or organization specific. We would like to thank the significant contribution of AWILI (Agwenda Women Input Loan Initiative) for making this day well celebrated here at Dzaleka camp.

this Monday, January 17, 2022, the yocodesop team rushed to visit and see the conditions in which these students are studying, and the constant was really bitter, because many are studying on the floor without notebooks or pens, when we asked to the students, they replied that their parents do not buy them, they have to go to school without notebooks or pens. the team rushed to distribute notebooks and pens to all those present and absent that day. we ask people of good will to provide for the needs of the students.

seeing the unfortunate conditions that this population of this part continues to lead, yocodesop and all these members have seen fit to visit the widowed women and the old people to understand and collect their grievances in order to see how to find a solution to certain problems. it was a question of understanding how this population leads their cotiedian life?, what are the recurrent problems?, what must be done urgently? After this short visit, each participant received 2kg of sugar, two soaps and 5kg of rice.
